Directions and Examples
Please take a look at the types of photos we are looking for. They do NOT have to be professional shots by any stretch of the imagination, but we are looking to see certain things in your field. See these examples and recommendations below to help you get the right shots.

Grass to Skin Transition
Along one of the edges, show us your grass to skin transition (where the infield stops and the grass begins)
Evidence of lips
Lips occur on your grass to skin transition areas when material starts to build up. This raised area can be caused by multiple factors from wind to rain to improper dragging techniques. Often times, stray material is not returned back to the infield and will just continue to build up. Lips are a huge danger when it comes to player safety—namely bad hops and tripping hazards. The easiest way to test to see if you have a lip issue is to put your foot right on the transition line (half on the grass and half on the dirt). If your foot is uneven and you feel a bump, then you most likely have a lip issue. If you believe you’re having a lip issue get a photo as level to the ground as you can. If possible, use a level and/or ruler to show the evidence and magnitude of the lip
Evidence of drainage issues/water pooling/standing water/low spots
Do you experience larger puddles or pooling or water after it rains? When it’s dry can you visibly see sunken/low areas on your infield? Low areas or depressions commonly develop in the player position areas, lead-off or sliding area, as well as baselines and Homeplate area. Normal wear and tear as well as grooming and weather events can create these issues. If these issues are present, take some detail shots of each problem area.
